Publishing Board of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.

What Is COPP?

COPP stands for Certificate of Progress Program. The program is designed to produce qualified church leaders equipped to lead church members.

The Sunday School Publishing Board provides the programs of study and the Division of Christian Education and Accreditation and Credentials provides direction and oversight of all Christian Leadership Schools.  The COPP objectives are to:

  • Increase biblical knowledge
  • Create an understanding of the Baptist faith
  • Develop qualified leaders for teaching and training
  • Provide incentives for program completion
  • Develop trained church leaders
