    “The objects of the Convention shall be to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the promotion of His Kingdom by united efforts on the parts of the churches composing it, to unify the churches’ doctrine and Christian policy, to promote home and foreign mission by establishing and supporting religious work to communities where needed.” [and] “To give unstinted support to education in Maryland, as well as supporting it elsewhere, collect, classify and publish statistics of the churches, to promote prosperity among the churches.” [and further] “To encourage brotherly love and cooperate heartily with other regular bodies doing similar work in our state, our country, and the world.”
